BOSTON, MA. (CBS12) — Jimmy Butler showed once again why Miami Heat fans chant "MVP" every time he's on the floor. The Heat improved to 9-2 in 'Game Ones' with Butler on the team with a 123-116 win over the Boston Celtics in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Butler, who missed a heartbreaking three pointer in the final seconds of game seven last year, hit a couple of huge three late in Wednesday night's game, en route to a 35-point performance, along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Head Coach Erik Spoelstra describes Butler as"One of the premier, if not the premier two-way basketball players in this association."
