Country Music artist Jimmie Allen and others are being sued by a former "day-to-day manager" who claims she was raped and sexually assaulted by Allen, then fired by her employer after asking to be reassigned to another artist.

The complaint filed in the Middle Tennessee District Court by 'Jane Doe' calls for a jury trial to decide her case against Allen, Williams Bowers Management, and it's founder Ash Bowers.

The suit states Jane Doe was hired by Wide Open Music in February 2020, her first such job after graduating in 2019. The suit claims she was introduced by her employer to Allen and advised he was "promiscuous but "harmless," implying that it was inevitable that Allen would make sexual advances."

The woman claims things started out with Allen asking her personal sexual questions but progressed to touching. Then, in 2021 after filming an American Idol episode where Allen appeared, she and other industry executives attended a dinner where she drank a couple of glasses of white wine. The suit states despite only having a couple of glasses, she lost consciousness and woke up naked in her hotel room hours later with "Jimmie Allen insisting she take Plan B as soon as possible."

Doe, whom the suit states was a virgin, "lost her virginity through no choice of her own and felt she had betrayed her faith."

Allen then allegedly took her to a drugstore to purchase Plan B – a drug which prevents pregnancy after unprotected intercourse – and advised her to take it. As she was leaving he allegedly stated "You're mine now."

The suit states Allen's sexual harassment increased to include grabbing her body parts and putting his hands down her pants in public. The sexual abuse allegedly continued and the suit states she was raped in private and Allen videotaped multiple encounters in an effort to blackmail her to stay quiet. It was not until she collapsed on a set and needed medical assistance that Doe claims she was told by a doctor to "run" and get away from Allen and the situation.

Doe's suit states in 2022 when she asked Bowers to be reassigned because she couldn't take the abuse anymore and disclosed what happened that she was placed on leave following the conversation. Days later, she was terminated.

The suit specifies allegations of sex trafficking, battery, assault, false imprisonment, and gross negligence among other infractions.

“We intend to show that WOM knew that Allen had a history of questionable behavior around women but did nothing to safeguard our client as she embarked upon her first professional job out of college,” said Elizabeth Fegan, founding partner of FeganScott, the firm representing the woman. “The executives at WOM promised our client mentorship and guidance in a new role, but instead she was offered up to Allen for his predation.”

On April 21 this year, Allen stated on Instagram he and his wife were separating and expecting a child later this year.

“Having been aware of Allen’s past behavior, it’s reprehensible that the company picked her out and threw her to the wolves like they did, knowing how things would turn out,” said Fegan. “Allen identified her as his target and groomed her, and the company did absolutely nothing to prevent it.”

BBR Music Group issued the following statement: "In light of today’s allegations against Jimmie Allen, BBR Music Group has decided to suspend all activity with him, effective immediately."

Jimmie Allen's attorney AndrewB. Brettler provided the following statement from Allen:

It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever. I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship — one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely. Only after things ended between us, did she hire a lawyer to reach out and ask for money, which leads me to question her motives. The simple fact is, her accusations are not only false, but also extremely damaging. I’ve worked incredibly hard to build my career, and I intend to mount a vigorous defense to her claims and take all other legal action necessary to protect my reputation.
